Chiptuning is a very popular hobby among those who love working on cars.  The basic idea is to take the car’s engine, onboard computer, and other parts and tune them up until the vehicle is operating at peak efficiency.  This can increase its top speed, make it handle better, and make it get better fuel efficiency.  However, finding resources that instruct you in how to go about tuning up your cars can be difficult.  This is because fine tuning each model of vehicle is a bit different.  Audi tuning, for example, is not quite the same as BMW tuning or Porsche tuning.  However, there are plenty of resources on the internet to help you.

Finding these resources is pretty easy.  All you need to do is go to one of the many search engines out there and do a search for your type of car and “chiptuning.”  Chances are, you’ll get hundreds, if not thousands, of results.  But which site is the best?  Well, that depends on exactly what you’re trying to do.  You’ll have to evaluate these sites to find the one that has exactly what you’re looking for.  While the ranking of pages can help, sometimes the first two or three aren’t quite what you need.  You may want to narrow down your search a bit—add in a few extra keywords to help cut down the number of results.

One way of telling which sites are going to be more helpful is to look at the domain name.  Often, sites that are more “official” have a better domain name, while sites that are run by individuals don’t.  Names like “audituningmag.com” may contain better information that sites with domain names that are longer or include numerous slashes and hyphens in their name.  However, this isn’t always the case, and you should check each site to see what information it contains.
